One-off business waste collections

How does your waste get recycled?
After your waste is loaded onto our vans it is taken to a registered waste transfer facility in Chesterfield. We have used Hopkinson waste to recycle our customers’ waste for many years and they are very effective at recycling as much waste as possible.
When we arrive at the waste transfer facility our van is weighed on the weighbridge with your waste on the van and the first weight is taken. Our driver then takes the load to the tipping area where all the junk is tipped. They then head back to the weighbridge to have the 2nd weight taken and this gives us the payload. We then pay accordingly to have your waste recycled correctly.
The waste that we tipped previously is segregated into different recycling streams and recycled where possible. The non recyclable items are taken to a RDF ( refuse derived fuel ) site where it is burnt at an extremely high temperature to create electricity.

How do we collect your waste?
Maybe our bin bags could be useful to you? Our simple bin bags are strong and hold a good amount of loose junk. All the waste must be bagged up in appropriate bin bags, which we can supply at a cost. We endeavour to keep your site clean and tidy and we certainly do not want a bag to split and spill waste all over your floor and cause a danger of slipping to your staff or customers, hence we recommend the use of our large and strong bin bags.
We try to think a little bit outside the box and we can make use of the cage inside an IBC liquid carrier. These cages can be filled with your junk and stacked until we can collect them. Our IBC cages are perfect to store lighter items such as packaging materials, cardboard, plastics, paper, polystyrene etc. Unfortunately the IBC cage is not intended to be used for liquids, as the cage has holes in it and the liquids will escape and cause a slip hazard on your warehouse floor. Ideally you would need a forklift on site to lift the IBC into the van but not essential, however this would reflect in the collection quote.
A skip bag is the same as a ton bag in which aggregates are delivered in, these bags are perfect to store loose materials in such as packaging, cardboard, plastics, polystyrene, and any other lighter waste. Again the skip bag is not suitable for liquid waste. We can come along and empty the bag and leave it with you to re-fill, this skip bag can be used many many times.
